Commissioned for the 2019 Indiana All State Middle School Honor Choir, "My America" was written to celebrate the beauty and diversity of all the people who live in our country. Although our ancestors came from lands that span the entire globe, the legacy of freedom that was forged by all who came before us has made it our responsibility to treat each other with kindness, respect and dignity. The lyrics invite everyone to celebrate the differences that make each of us unique and special. This is the message of "My America."The words tell the story and are of the upmost importance. Please honor tempo markings and be sure to stress diction and enunciation.

Once the mp3 is downloaded and you begin playing it, there is a timer that you can see and track in seconds. You can move your cursor anywhere on the track to fast forward it, etc. The performance ends at 3:58. There is then 10 seconds in between, before the accompaniment starts at 4:08. To be sure you have a few seconds lead time for your performance, just drag your cursor to 4:03 [there will then be 5 seconds of silence before the accompaniment track starts.] You can set the cursor to 4:03 before the performance or if you want more time use the full 10 seconds and set it at 3:58.
